Tumorigenecity: yes, in DBA/2 mice (but only weakly)

Note: this line was derived from the X-ray resistant L5178-R line (KCLB 21722); the cells are sensitive to X-rays, ultraviolet radiation, heat and some potential anti neoplastic drugs (e.g., cis-PAD); the parental cell line was derived from the L5178 thymic lymphoma induced by methylcholanthrene in a DBA/2 mouse; tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox)
