ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Interleukin 8 (77 aa variant)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0239
Description
Recombinant Human Endothelial Interleukin-8 (rHu IL-8) is a proinflammatory CXC chemokine that can signal through the CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors. It is secreted by monocytes and endothelial cells, and plays a role in chemoattraction and activation of neutrophils. Rhu IL-8 (endothelial-derived) is an 8.9 kDa protein containing 77 amino acid residues.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human IL8 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
8.9 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0239-25 (25 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0239-125 (125 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
Human IL-8 produces chemotaxis over a wide concentration range in an assay using human peripheral blood neutrophils. Significant chemotaxis was achieved using a concentration range of 25.0 -150.0 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized protein with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into water or other buffered solutions and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized IL-8, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted human IL-8 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Please avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
