ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Interleukin 8 (72 aa variant)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0240
Description
Recombinant Human Interleukin-8 (rHu IL-8) is a proinflammatory CXC chemokine that can signal through the CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors. It is secreted by monocytes and endothelial cells, and plays a role in chemoattraction and activation of neutrophils. Rhu IL-8 (monocyte- derived) is an 8.4 kDa protein containing 72 amino acid residues.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human IL8 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
8.4 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0240-25 (25 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0240-125 (125 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC and AEX-FPLC.
Activity
The biological activity was determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood neutrophils. The concentration for this effect was found to be in the range of 10.0 to 100.0 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized protein with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized IL-8 should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted IL-8 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
