Description
Mast cells are produced in the bone marrow, the spongy tissue found in the hollow centres of some bones, and live longer than normal cells. They are an important part of the immune system and help fight infection. Mast cells are well placed to serve as immune sentinel cells to both respond directly to pathogens and send signals to other tissues to modulate both innate and adaptive immune responses.
Rabbit bone marrow mast cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit bone marrow tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit bone marrow mast cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit bone marrow mast cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to CD117. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
